APB is an MMORPG created by 'RealTime Worlds.' It debuted at E3 in 2009 to a quiet but strong reception, heralded for its deep customizations and its unique play system that created and encouraged dynamic PvP (Player vs Player) combat with in the game.
The game is named after the police code 'All Points Bulletin' referring to a radio transmission that all police officers should pay attention to. Given the urban 'gang' theme of the game it is an aptly chosen name.
APB's theme is urban combat, where players play either as criminals intent on breaking the law through various missions provided by the game, or players can play as enforcers, the police-esque squads intent on stopping the criminals, or chasing them down once the crime has been committed.
As of now there is no release date for APB, it was noted as a 'work in progress' at the 2009 E3 debut and no hint was given at release. Some think it will be early 2011 before it is released. But when we know more, you'll find it here.
